Dr Tchessalov received his Ph.D. from Institute of Applied Biochemistry (Moscow) on development of novel methods for formulation design and process control during lyophilization.

He completed his Postdoctoral training with Prof. Pikal (UCONN) and had successful career at Immunex, Wyeth and Pfizer. For the past 40 years (both, in Russia and US) Dr.Tchessalov has been working on formulation and lyophilization process development of bacterial, viral and mRNA-based vaccines, proteins and different biological materials.

Dr. Tchessalov produced more than 30 research papers in lyophilization. His current research is focused on lyophilization process scale up and transfer as well as processing of parenteral dosage forms (filtration, filling, freezing/thawing and etc).
