Dr. G. Thomas Caltagirone is the Founder, President, and CEO of Aptagen, a biotechnology company specializing in aptamer-based molecular recognition technologies for diagnostics, therapeutics, and drug discovery.

With more than 25 years of experience in molecular biology, neuroscience, and biotech entrepreneurship, he has led the development of advanced aptamer and “aptabody” platforms serving pharmaceutical, academic, and government clients worldwide.

Dr. Caltagirone earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Drexel University, with thesis research conducted at Yale University, and holds multiple patents and publications in molecular engineering and biotechnology.
